Our story

Built from real couples, real feedback and real-life problems

  1. 01

    The spark

A conversation that started it all

During my Master's degree, my Lebanese manager told me how stressful planning her wedding had become, especially finding entertainment that truly matched her culture. One question stayed with me: why isn't there a platform built for diverse cultural needs?

    The realisation

Every wedding is different, and families plan together

I watched many family members and friends plan weddings from different cultures and walks of life. Every celebration was unique, and planning was never one person's job: it happened across busy group chats, lost attachments and shared logins.

    The landscape

Modern UK weddings blend cultures, but directories lagged behind

Nearly one in ten people living as a couple in England and Wales are in an inter-ethnic relationship, and many more bring together different faiths and traditions. Yet most wedding sites still treat these celebrations as an afterthought, and directories often rank whoever pays the most.

    Planned Memories today

Shaped by real couples and their feedback

Couples who could afford a dedicated planner got cultural nuance; everyone else juggled spreadsheets and generic advice. So we built Sameh, an AI wedding planner shaped by real conversations with UK couples, available 24/7 and free for couples. Alongside Sameh: every tradition recognised, both partners in control, family helpers in the loop and suppliers matched on fit. No couple should compromise on their heritage.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Sameh Axmed

I started Planned Memories after a simple conversation during my Master's degree. My manager was planning her Lebanese wedding and struggling to find entertainment that truly fitted her culture. I kept asking myself why there wasn't one place built for weddings like hers.

Over the years I watched many family members and friends plan weddings from different cultures and walks of life, across group chats, spreadsheets and shared logins. Planning was never one person's job, and the tools weren't built for that.

Planned Memories is my answer: a calm place where both partners and their families plan together, every tradition is respected, and suppliers are matched on genuine fit.

What makes us different

Four things we do differently

Every tradition built in

Nikah, Mandap, Chuppah, Tea Ceremony or church — plan multi-event weddings with the rituals, dietary needs and timings that matter to you.

Honest supplier matches

19 categories, from venues to henna, dhol and stages. Suppliers are matched on location, culture, size and budget — not on who pays for the top spot.

Two partners, one plan

Each partner has their own login and full control of the same plan. Invite family helpers too — no shared passwords.

Wedding-day album included

Guests scan a code and add their photos to one private album, so you never have to pay for a separate app.

Planning Concierge

We're having a church ceremony and a Nigerian traditional engagement. Where do we start?

Lovely mix! Let's book the traditional engagement first, as it often needs a specialist MC and caterer. I've found three suppliers near you who know both.
